I spent the formative years of my life in Zambia, Africa. When COVID hit in 2020, I had just completed my 10th and moved out but I noticed that my immediate juniors were struggling with the sudden imposition of remote learning and estranged attension. So I created a study group that had about 11 students from that batch were a part of, I gathered a few others who could help me out with content and resources preparation and we spontaneously started one day. I obviously taught physics and I was proud that it was very well received. As a token of appreciation for the effort that eventually reflected on their grades later that year, some of the students brought me thoughtful presents as a thank you. It was a truly rewarding experience and the primary reason I love teaching!
