I started learning French because I enjoy languages and the way they open up new ways of thinking. French, in particular, is widely used in international institutions, so that automatically opens up more study or work opportunities.
1. If you have a liking for the language.
2. If you want to pursue studies in a country that requires you to know the language.
3. It helps you stand out in internships and jobs.
4. If you visit France, Switzerland, Belgium, or parts of Africa, speaking French makes everything smoother.
5. French helps with Spanish, Italian, and even improves English vocabulary since many English words come from French.
