Description :
In this system the GPS receiver calculate its position by measuring the distance between itself and three or more satellites. By determine the position of ,and distance to at least three satellites the receiver can compute its position and sends the trilaterated latitude and longitude value via a GSM modem in SMS format. The SMS can be received on a predefined GSM cellular phone. Interface between GPS &GSM is done with the help of AT89C52microcontroller.the remote unit also consists of a LCD display which would be displaying latitude and longitude values using which the vehicle in remote area can be tracked and routed to the correct place if needed
