"I had a very disappointing experience with swimming instructor Akshara Chandu. Her lack of professionalism, punctuality, and commitment to teaching is unacceptable. Despite the classes being scheduled for an hour, she routinely arrives 15 minutes late and barely spends 30 minutes at the pool. Even during that time, there is very little actual instruction. She doesn’t get into the pool to demonstrate techniques or provide proper guidance, making the sessions largely ineffective. I specifically enrolled in weekend classes, but she frequently cancels giving made up reasons and then expects students to accommodate makeup classes on weekdays, completely disregarding the schedule agreed upon at the time of enrollment. To make matters worse, when I requested either a refund or completion of the course as promised at the time of payment, she responded extremely rudely and unprofessionally instead of addressing the concern. Taking payment for a course and then failing to deliver the promised classes is simply unacceptable. I would strongly advise anyone considering swimming lessons with her to think twice before enrolling. Don’t waste your money and time!!! "

"She is not punctual and a very manipulative person..I have an 8 year old Autistic son and she agreed to teach my son swimming in 10 sessions. I have made full payment to as per agreement...she hardly took 3 sessions( not more than 30 mins each) and she even counted day one of our session in which she just met my kid . And after that she got her own excuses like some of her relative is in deathbed and other time her car Tyre got flat etc...and when I asked fr weekend classes she agreed for that and later said she cant come...and meanwhile our society pool was closed for 10 days for some renovation and when I contacted her after 10 days she said she is not available till 5th august..when I messaged her again she said as there is some festival she cant come...n again she said as 3 months are completed this contract gets void( which she have not mentioned anything about initially) .now when I asks for refund she is saying I cant do anything as per the policy...huh please dont trust her and get cheated like me..she dont deserve to be labeled as a professional...please be aware of her... "

"Extremely unprofessional. Brings friends along to give personal coaching lessons. Doesn’t step into the pool even after requesting as there are people who learn by observing, and not essentially by instructions alone. Quite rude and lacks qualities of a good instructor. "

"Learning swimming under Akshara ma’am has been an amazing experience. She is extremely patient, professional, and encouraging throughout every session. Her teaching methods are clear and structured — she makes sure every student understands the techniques properly, whether it’s floating, breathing, or stroke improvement. What I really appreciate is her ability to make beginners feel comfortable and confident in the water. She maintains safety, discipline, and fun all at once. Within just a few classes, I noticed a big improvement in my swimming skills and overall confidence.
