I completed my entire education (M.Phil. M.Sc. B.Ed.) there itself; started my Teaching career as PGT Biology (June 2006) immediately after finishing my Post graduation from Punjabi University Patiala. During my teaching in Punjab, I finished my M.Phil. from Periyar University, Salem. I continued my teaching career after moving to Bangalore. In all these years, I:
Designed student centered curriculum with corresponding lectures and lab activities which aligned with CBSE board standards.
Actively participated as a team of Biology teachers to create common Formative assessments and cooperative learning opportunities.
Supervised extracurricular activities including Science exhibitions, Science fests ,
Declamations.
Integrated various forms of technology on a constant basis to improve students
comprehension of various concepts.
Incorporated hands on activities and various strategies to instill a love for biology in
students and help significantly enhance their comprehension skills.
Created skill based assessments used to assess student mastery on required skills of focus, resulting in increased student success.
Redesigned the Biology lab (Ekya ITPL) to meet CBSE guidelines.
Worked as HEAD, DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE (DAV School PUNJAB) and as EXAMINATION INCHARGE (2008-2009).
