- Module 6 – 8051 Microcontroller – Advanced - 15 ~ 17 Hours
Pre-requisite for this module:
- Understanding of Basic Electronics, Usage of electronic components in circuits, usage of bread boards and multimeter
- Practical knowledge of using Keil 8051 Compiler and flash utilities to flash the code
- Interface of various inputs/output devices including 16x2 LCD display, 4x4 keypad, usage of L293 board and electromechanical devices
- Practical knowledge of timer/external interrupts
- It is strongly recommended that students bring their own laptop. You’ll preserve your work and you’ll have all the development environment set up for you to work even after your course(s)
Working Kit Contents:
- 8051 Development Board, USBASP SPI Flashing Board, 16x2 Character LCD display, PIR Motion Sensor, SR04 Ultrasound Distance Sensor, LDR (Light Dependant Resistor), Breadboard, 4x4 Matrix Keypad, LEDs, RGB LEDs, Resistors, Potentiometer, 8x8 Dot Matrix Display, 7-Segment Displays, Tactile switch, Rocker switch, Piezo Electric Buzzer, Connecting Wires, Batteries
What you’ll learn:
- Using POV(Persistence Of Vision) and interrupts to build a 3 digit counter using three 7-segment displays
- Write your own drivers to drive a 16x2 character LCD display, Decode 4x4 matrix keypad and Build a software RTC
- Interface basic sensors and control them
