Ask a Question
a) Down the group atomic size increases, it is difficult for large size atoms to form stable bonds among themselves so down the group catination tendency decreases.
b) Due to inert pair effect as we go down the group lower O.S. becomes more stable compared to higher ones, so +3 O.S . stability decreases and +1 increases.
c) AlBr3 is a covelent compound so in molten state it don't break into ions, thus it is poor conductor of electricity.
