AutoCAD is 2D Drafting/3D Modeling CAD Platformand the Basics of any CADSoftware Operation is dependent on some processes that we can execute with help of the commands (Tools Available in Ribbon/ Alias Assigned for Commands) which are categorised as under - - Geometry Creation (2D or 3D) - Geomtery Modification (Trimming/Extension, Corner Making etc) - Geometry Manipulations (Translations, Roatations) & Transformations (Scaling or Stretching) - Annotating the Drawing / Model (Dimensionings, Texting, Applying Leaders, Hatches etc.) There are a lot more but everything we can do depends upon the purposes like sometimes we need to apply Colours & Materials on Drawings/ Solid Parts for visual separations of contents. Sometimes we need to apply lights and cameras for Rendering Purposes, But the most used processes are thepoints I mentioned above. read less
