I had taught a student of ICSE board who was afraid of mathematics. So I was able to remove that fear and it eventually helped her to get around 80 marks in board as earlier she used to just get passing marks in school exam. So I have had such experience with students and I think I can handle student who have fear of some subjects as with patience and hardwork, we will tackle it.

Start with basics. Understand the concept properly and then go for tough questions. Students normally find difficulty in maths because their concepts are not clear. So atleast give appropriate time for basic concepts. Then after, go for tougher questions , shortcut to solve sums and tests as now this won't be much of a problem for you.
