Disha R. - I am a Psychology enthusiast with 2 years of teaching experinece.

I am Disha Roy, a Psychology tutor with experience teaching students from Classes 11 and 12. I have around 1 year of teaching experience and enjoy helping students develop a clear understanding of Psychology concepts. My focus is on making the subject simple, interesting, and easier to relate to through structured explanations and practical examples.
I have completed my graduation and am currently pursuing my Post-Graduation in Psychology. My academic journey has helped me build a strong understanding of the subject and develop a deeper interest in different areas of Psychology. I continue to strengthen my subject knowledge through my studies as well as my teaching experience.
I have experience working with senior school students and understand the importance of balancing conceptual understanding with examination preparation. I help students understand topics thoroughly rather than relying only on memorisation. My classes are planned to cover important concepts systematically while giving students enough opportunity to clarify their doubts and strengthen areas where they need additional support.
I follow a structured lesson plan for each class and organise topics according to the student's academic requirements. I explain concepts step by step and use simple language to make them easier to understand. I also encourage students to participate actively during the sessions, ask questions, and discuss concepts so that they can develop greater confidence in the subject.
Practical examples are an important part of my teaching approach. Psychology concepts can often be understood more effectively when they are connected with familiar situations and real-life observations. I therefore try to relate theoretical concepts to practical examples wherever appropriate, helping students understand not only what a concept means but also how it can be applied and observed.
My classes are interactive and student-focused. I encourage students to express their doubts and share their understanding during the session instead of simply listening to the explanation. I also adjust my teaching pace according to the student's learning level and provide additional explanations whenever a particular topic requires more attention.
I conduct my classes online and use PPTs and a digital whiteboard to make lessons organised and engaging. My goal is to help Class 11 and 12 students build a strong foundation in Psychology, understand their syllabus with greater clarity, and prepare confidently for their examinations. I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions freely and gradually become more confident in understanding and presenting Psychology concepts.
