Rahul Kumar Shaw

Myself Rahul Kumar Shaw, currently pursuing Ph.D. in Applied Arts from the Department of Applied Arts, Faculty of Visual Arts, Banaras Hindu University (BHU). I have an in-depth understanding of Visual Arts and Design, developed through years of academic learning, practice, and real-world experience.

I have completed my Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, and Master’s from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. My artistic journey covers almost every area of visual expression — including sketching, drawing, composition, water color, ink drawing, oil color, pastel, still life, human figure, and anatomy.

Beyond fine arts, I have a strong command over design, aesthetics, advertising design, and branding strategy, where I integrate both creative and analytical approaches to build visual communication that speaks effectively.

I have been honored with one National-level Award and two Global Design Awards, recognizing my contribution to the field of visual communication and design.

My teaching approach is based on clarity, concept, and creativity helping students to develop not only their artistic skills but also their thinking process and professional mindset. I aim to create a learning space where students can transform their imagination into meaningful visual outcomes.
