What is the difference between Save and Save As in Photoshop?

Use Save when you do not want to change the name and location of the document. Use Save as when you want to change the name, location and format of the document.

Yeah clearly the option " Save " Used to save your work in a default location and by a default name and with the PSD (photoshop) format. We need to save the files frequently to avoid missing of works. But the option " Save as " Plays a vital role. By using this option we can able to save a work in the selection location, naming it as our wish , and more importantly saving in different format (like jpg, png, bmp, gifs) etc., read less
