Hi Srinivas, There are different file formats in which you can save or export your files into Photoshop and Illustrator. The Illustrator File Format describes the .AI and .EPS as native file format. Other Document File Formats are TIFF, PDF, JPEG, PNG etc. Thank you.

any kind of data will be saved in .ai format. else for sharing data with another application/different purpose you can think to save it in .pdf, .eps, .svg .jpg, .tiff, (for web & print as well where pdf&eps supports both vector and raster format) .png, .bmp etc according to requirement.

To save anything by default .ai format is applicable to edit further. Else you can choose .pdf, .eps (supports both vector & raster) .svg, .jpg, .tiff (all five formats are used for high resolution printing and first four formats for web as well) .bmp, .png etc according to your requirement.
