Images in the same PSD file cannot have a larger size/resolution than what the image resolution is. However, if you want to increase the size of a particular layer, then first create a blank new canvas the size and resolution you want. Then drag the particular layer you want to increase the size of, into the new canvas. Expand the layer to fit the canvas frame. You may have to check the resolution of the layer. If the layer comes from a document that is lower in size than the new canvas, then it will have a pixellated effect. But if the original canvas is close to the new size, then you should have a good resolution layer. read less

first you need to convert the image to smart object and then press Control + T you will get transform controls, then press shift key and drag any of the corners of transform controls and press enter key
