Q. How and when you started to work as a Corporate Trainer?
Ans. My passion for Corporate Training (in Business Analysis and Data Analysis) started way back in 2012, when I was doing MBA in Finance and Systems from ICFAI Business School (IBS), Hyderabad. Those days, I was associated with several companies, undertaken projects and gave presentation in Data Analysis and Business Analysis and ranked as national level Data Analytics winner across India. I got quite involved in Data Analytics and Business Analysis profile, when I was asked by one of the Business Analysis professors to work on his research activity.
By this time, I started to look for possible places where I could apply to become a Corporate Trainer. And finally, I landed up on one of the websites and later on I started providing trainings through UrbanPro. I see myself as a good presenter, able to explain concepts clearly, patience to listen to professionals’ queries and doubts. These are my major skills, which I think exactly matches with a Corporate Trainer’s criteria. So I joined corporate training to train various professionals.
Q. What do you think makes a great Trainer?
Ans. I feel a great trainer is someone who is good at simplifying tough concepts, help break learning barriers of his students, communicate effectively and have extensive knowledge of his subject. Joining a Teachers’ Training course also helps a trainer in making effective lesson plans and developing good teaching methods. And most importantly, passion to teach is very important.
Q. What do you think makes you a good Corporate Trainer?
Ans. After completing my Master’s, I have been placed as a Business Analyst in an MNC through Campus Placement. While working, I thought of sharing my knowledge to others. In that way, I got an assignment from my manager to train Business Analysis and Data Analysis concepts to a huge number of experienced professionals. This way, I started my own career as a trainer in the corporate sector.
There are many reasons why I became a Corporate Trainer. Few of the reasons were -- I was good at explaining concepts clearly with real life examples, developing course materials, good presentation skills, converting complex topics into simplified approach, providing guidance and support, and answering all the queries very patiently. I provide end-to-end training on Data analysis and Business Analysis, and patient enough to explain the topic again if the student fails to understand or face any difficulties. Lastly, students enjoyed the training sessions due to the friendly environment I create during the sessions. In a nutshell, I deliver complete satisfactory sessions to the professionals and students.
In addition, my dedication, presentation and communication skills are the qualities that makes me a good trainer. I give equal weightage to both theoretical and practical knowledge. I correlate the theoretical concepts with the practical. This way students can apply the knowledge in the real environment. College teaches theoretical knowledge and corporate needs practical knowledge which creates skills gap. As a trainer, I like to fill this skill gap of students who passed out from college or professionals who want to switch over to Data Analysis or Business Analysis.
Q. How you came across UrbanPro?
Ans. When, we decided to move to Chennai. I was unhappy and jobless, as I had to start again from scratch to build my career in a new city. Q. What was the turning point in your career?

Ans. Reviews are one of the most important factors that influence students’ hiring decisions. I wish I knew that and asked my students to post reviews for my training sessions. A professional profile with good reviews are considered more reliable and improves chances of getting hired.
Q. What percentage of your work comes from UrbanPro?
Ans. 40% of my work comes from UrbanPro. Many students, whom I have taught Business Analysis and Data Analysis gave my reference to their colleagues and contacts. My students include IT Professionals, Fresh Graduates and Research Analyst.
