Q1. How you started your career as an Expert Voice Culture Trainer?

Ans. Since childhood, I had a great passion towards singing and so I pursued Carnatic music. This passion further led me to share my knowledge to other people who are passionate about music. Gradually, I started teaching vocal Carnatic music lessons to aspiring learners. My research on voice training made me understand that it is very vital for singers to maintain the voice as an important aspect of singing. I started attending voice culture workshops and exclusive training based on voice, held all over the country and gained solid knowledge about voice culture and its importance in music. I was confident that I will definitely be successful as a voice culture trainer and teach the importance of voice cultivation to prospective singers. Since then, I started expanding my training to students not only in India but also abroad through Skype.

Q2. What skills and qualities do you think helps you stand out from other trainers?

Ans. My grandparents were Late Sri P.Narayanaswamy and Sri P.Vaidhyanathan a well known and renowned T.V & A.I.R graded Nadaswaram artists (musicians) from Palakkad, Kerala. Hailing from such a musical family background, learning Carnatic music was a tradition in my family and I started my musical journey when I was 5 years old. Right from my childhood, I was given extensive knowledge by my grandparents about the vital qualities for performance such as breath support, relaxed body, sustenance, powerful body stance and above all self-confidence. These basic qualities became a milestone to my further perseverance in music. I came all the way to pursue more and with the use of current technology, I went deep into comprehending the requirements for singers of all levels. I tried my best to share the knowledge that I acquired through time and took up voice culture training to singers which follow sequence of training sessions and also explains the scientific reasons behind the same. My training sessions meet the demands of various styles of singing. Besides carnatic lessons and voice culture training, I also teach keertanas, devotional songs, light music in Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam movies' songs. I make sure to keep myself updated with the ongoing changes every day. Q3. How you came to know about UrbanPro? Ans. I started a full time career in Classical Music and training students for voice culture in my academy.
