We shouldn't be strict with the kids. Allow them to play a while and, with kind words, make him sit for the class. Try this; you too sit with him in the class and study along with him. It will help you to make him sit in the class. Try this in the initial stages. You will find the difference.

It isn't easy to make a five or 6-year-old sit in a place and perform any activity. It is essential to identify what they like more and indulge them in the activity they prefer doing for a while, and then make them do their academic work. Art, sports, music, or any such extracurriculars will improve his other skills and teach discipline and create a systematic routine for everything.
This way, it unconsciously forms a time table in the kid's mind, and eventually, they will follow the pattern. But parents, at the same time, cannot push the kid beyond a point. It is a tight rope walk that way!
