Precisely, consider the modern MVC architecture, wherein controller will be a Java servlet and the JSP is one of the popular view technology at server side and when it executed at server side it will be converted to its html equivalent content as it is understandable by most of popular web browsers and dispatched to the web browser and rendered with any included JavaScript pages. JavaScript is a light weight scripting language as it provides a way of executing a coupe of dynamic functions on runtime/input data provided by user at browser end before submitting it to the backend server for further execution and at the same time the usage of JavaScript must be cautious as it is a possible trigger for a variety of vulnerabilities identified so far at client end.

Hi Parminder,
1. The first level of code optimization should be in hands of the developer as the developer must have the basic understanding of requirement to best utilize the existing features, for example choosing best suitable data structures for storing and fast retrieval of data in any scenario.
2. The second level of optimization will be in choosing the development IDE, as it provides a lot of built in capabilities in identifying the best/worst code blocks like dead code.
3. And finally with the help of code optimization tools like Sonar, executing these over the custom code packages will detect a lot of things like developer mistakes due to non compliance of the industry standards, memory leaks and any sort of security vulnerabilities and etc.
