A conjunction is a word that joins parts of a sentence,phrases or other words together. Conjunctions are used as single words or in pairs. Eg. And, but, or, neither..nor,either..or,after, because before etc

Dangling modifiers frequently contain words ending with 'ing' To be excused from class,a doctors note is required. The sentence does not clearly state who needs a doctors note. A dangling modifier talks about someone or something not clearly stated in the sentence

An ellipses is a mark consisting of three dots ... In formal writing the ellipses is typically used to indicate omissions usually in quotations or to indicate hesitation or a long pause. Eg Don't hesitate...to try a Grammar Coach.

The Oxford comma is the use of the comma before the conjunction in a list of three or more items. Eg paints,brushes,and canvas. He bought eggs,milk,and bread. The comma before and is called the Oxford comma
