Greetings! Dear, there is a considerable jump in the syllabus from Jr. KG to Class -I (CBSE) because you are skipping a class, Sr. K.G. Where a student learns about making words by joining alphabets. In class-I, there are short stories/poems to learn & write, means one should know the sentence making, which is quite tricky for a Jr. K. G passed student. So, prepare your child to read/write short sentences(English), addition (Without carrying), subtraction(without borrowing), ascending order, descending, what comes after/before/between (Maths).
