Kriti M.

Stepping away from her Financial IT profession, Kriti decided to allow her passion for music as a singer/songwriter and freelance musician. She trained in Hindustani classical music in her younger years and picked up several instruments such as flute, harmonium, piano, percussion and guitar – while exploring western genres such as rock, blues, pop and fusion.
Kriti also worked as Director of Operations for US based company PlayMusician, planning and organizing events in NJ/NY to arts & music in the local community via live events . She additionally helped kick off the sister company in India in 2013 – PlayMusician India, as Director, and organized several events in Mumbai to encourage & promote local talent.

She has performed live as a solo artist and in collaboration with other musicians at several venues in United States as well as in Mumbai.

A certified Furtados School of Music High teacher, she is equipped to teach guitar grade levels 0-3. In the past year,Kriti has taught 25 students (individual and group). Additionally, she has worked as a Vocal instructor and Music mentor in December 2016 at The Center of Excellence in Western and Hindustani Music, Shillong.

She is currently involved in musical projects involving toddlers and children, teaching vocals, ukulele & guitar, live performances, and collaborative recordings for other musicians and working on her original compositions.
