Learn Probability in Mathematics
In the CBSE Class 10 Mathematics syllabus, the Probability chapter serves as a fascinating bridge between theoretical mathematics and real-world decision making. At its core, probability is the mathematical study of quantifying uncertainty. From predicting weather forecasts and calculating insurance risks to understanding the odds in your favorite board games, probability equips students with the logical framework required to analyze random events. For Class 10 students, this chapter is a crucial milestone as it transitions from the basic experimental probability learned in earlier grades to a more structured, theoretical approach that lays the groundwork for advanced statistics in higher secondary education.
In this chapter, you will learn how to accurately calculate the theoretical (classical) probability of an event occurring. You will master the fundamental formula: P(E) = (Number of outcomes favorable to E) / (Total number of possible outcomes). The curriculum delves deep into the concept of a Sample Space by exploring universally standard scenarios such as tossing coins, rolling dice, and drawing from a standard deck of 52 playing cards. Additionally, you will explore vital sub-topics like Impossible Events (where P = 0), Sure Events (where P = 1), and Complementary Events, understanding that the sum of the probability of an event happening and not happening always equals exactly one (P(E) + P(not E) = 1).
The infographic above illustrates how the universal probability formula connects directly to the most common exam scenarios: tossing a coin, rolling a die, and drawing a card. In CBSE Board Exams, questions from this chapter are notoriously scoring, yet they test your attention to detail through word problems involving drawing colored marbles from a bag, calculating the odds of getting a "face card," or finding the probability of twin events (like tossing two coins simultaneously). Exam Tip: To avoid silly mistakes and secure full step-marks, always clearly write down the complete Sample Space and define your total possible outcomes before you attempt to identify the favorable outcomes and apply the formula.

I have worked as PGT teacher in one of the best CBSE schools and all of my students gained more than 90 percent marks. I have full concept of subjects and can assist students in gaining more than 90 percent marks.
I have been tutoring students from past 6 years and as a professional School teacher from past 4 years . I know what is the competition and how to make student competent to face that with effective learning material and concept clarity .
Excellent experience. Service was wonderful. There was ambience habitat. All the things was understand easily.
I am an experienced , qualified with experience of 5 years , across different boards including CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE and State Board. Passionate about teaching, over the years I have helped thousands of students .
I am a strong believer in concept-based gain of knowledge. I start from scratch while teaching the very basic concepts and take my students to a level where they have a deep understanding of the subject. Once they understand the concept, the next step is that practice a lot of questions/numerical/problem in the class itself as practice is the key to retain knowledge. I always refer to prescribed books by CBSE/ICSE board but always encourage students to refer additional 1 or 2 books based on their speed to practice. In last I provide them enough homework to practice at home and send me the doubts before the next class. Also for 10th students, we prepare right from beginning by covering the previous year questions and this approach till date have been fruitful as most of my students excel in the board exams
My son is taking Math and Science Tuition with Rakesh sir for last 2 weeks. I am very much satisfied with his teaching techniques. He uses visual aids which helps the student in understanding the concepts in a better way.
I started my teaching career in 2005 in that year itself I got a chance to take class in 10 for one month for leave vacancy. After that I got the chance in 2011 in another school, then it continued. Taking class in 10 it was a challenge because responsibilities are more. Both parents and students are in stress, at the same time the school management also. If the results are not satisfactory it will affect to the reputation of the school. So the teachers are alert always .All the students have to face the board. So the preparation of each and every child is important. For that conducting special classes ,morning classes. Conducting evaluations in proper interval. After every evaluation a session with parents in school is very important. Because they are more stressed than students. The year tenth is important because it is the turning point of each student . The effort of all the pupils will be fruitful when we get the good result. Teachers especially those who are taking in class 10 they are not bothered about the salary which the management as paying to them, of course it is a pain to their personal life. Once if we are standing in front of the students our main attention was that whether the concept will be reaching to the pupil in the right meaning and sense. In that time we are not bothered about the payment. If the student got the concept and scored good in exam that was the great reward for teacher. After the schooling that student and parents never forget that teacher in their life every important movements they expect that teachers presence there.
