Advance Excel covers important formulas and functions, basic visualizations, graphs, etc. VBA-Macros is all about creating automation in Excel and getting done the repetitive work in minutes. My brother started with an Application Support role in Gurgaon. In the interview, he was tested for only communication skills and necessary Excel skills. While on the job, they taught him SQL, AWS and bit of tableau. He is doing good now and is on his way to change his position.
He still does not have coding skills. But his analytical capabilities have greatly improved.
As for the communication skills, you need to have average communication skills where you can at least convey the requirements to the other person in a simple way.
As you get into this role of Application Support, you can learn the basics of SQL, any CRM (Example MS Dynamics), or AWS etc.
It all depends on your interest.
