Sri Kavithalayam Institute

I have been learning Bharatnatyam since I was seven. I have acquired certifications Girinas from Thanjavur group performance. I have learned in the Gurukulam style. I have attended and performed in many temple programmes in Coimbatore. I have participated in seven to ten programmes. I have guided more than thirty-five students. I have been awarded the Chidambaram Natyam Kalayam award.

My father is a Bharatnatyam Guru, and I have learned dancing from him. He was the institution's founder, and I have been teaching there for the last ten years. I am passionate about art and want to continue my legacy with my students. My classes are conducted online, in groups. The classes are held twice a week for children above five years.

My classes are structured and meticulously planned. I plan my lessons. The classes are highly interactive. I teach from the basics to the advanced level. I have designed my classes efficiently to complete three years of courses in one and a half years. I teach all l four sections of Bharatanatyam and twelve Adavus. The institution consists of Vazhuvur, Pandanallur and Kalakshetra styles of Barathnatiyam. I provide notes for the theoretical part, like mudras. After the course completion, a certificate is also offered to the students. I teach passionately that students understand the value of classical dance and learn to enjoy and respect it.
