I return or I return back?

It should be "I return", or "I give will give back", or "I gave back". Return itself means 'come back' or 'give back'.

Why we do not use "to" with home? Such as : Correct : I am going home. Incorrect: I am going to home. Write... ...more
Why we do not use "to" with home? Such as : Correct : I am going home. Incorrect: I am going to home. Write other words where "to" is not required ? Like : downtown, uptown, etc

Instead of "He gave the book to me", one can write "He gave me the book". Instead of "She comes to home late", we can say "She comes home late". Instead of "To which school are you going?" You can say " Which is your school?" Many such examples can be given.
