I have run my own event management and dance company for over 15 years, with Established, developed and managed a successful Event Management organization specializing in dance and music-based programs and offerings. Business focus areas included:
• Dance Studio: Offering individual and group lessons on various dance forms. Special children’s offering year-round. Teaching modules were brain stormed resulting in easy teaching techniques where steps were broken down to the simple movement of a walk, assisting people from all age groups and all walks of life to learn the art of dancing.
• Corporate Event Management: Customized corporate events for up to 500 people including de-stress programs, interactive sessions, team building activities, dance lessons, performances and shows
• Wedding: Individualized wedding planning especially focused on cultural awareness
• Education: Lessons included dance as well as art / dance appreciation, musicality, and history. Offered access to authentic costumes and dance accessories. Lessons were based on themed and non-themed choreographies, often with a story line culminating in solo and group dance presentations.
• Non-Profit and Special Needs customization: Dance lessons designed for special needs students. Offerings (choreographies, costumes, props and music) centered around the various levels of abilities of the participants.
• Cultural Collaboration: Culturally accurate dance and music presentations, multi-ethnic collaborations. Efforts included event organization catering to various nationalities, show casing associated art-forms and highlighting health benefits (e.g. dance marathons, flash dances, fairs, cultural show cases)
