I started teaching during the pandemic only to earn my allowance. As someone who swore never to take up teaching as a career, it was ironic when the tutoring sessions became the only times I felt the happiest and looked forward to. I realized that being a teacher is the most significant responsibility, given that children like or hate subjects based on how they are taught and how the teacher behaves with them rather than by the subject's content. I am passionate about social sciences and languages. I cannot describe how much joy I get from passing on the knowledge I have gained from my teachers. Being a teacher is more than just teaching. Creating a safe space for the students to open up about their difficulties or hindrances affecting their performance or mental health is essential.
