IdentityI have a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and completed my Doctorate degree for the same in February 2022. My PhD research was based on green chemistry which involves the utilization of bark waste from pine trees with the help of green solvents.
Personally, I feel that I am good enough to teach but I would not say I am the best teacher. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge with my students and always represent a positive attitude towards their way of asking questions as it represents their curiosity in particular subject. I am very polite and patient with my students. I will be fortunate to have good students around me, make them comfortable and will try my best to provide the best service as a mentor.
During my tutoring and lab attendant experience in New Zealand University, I learnt various good traits -
- Plan and organize hands-on activities that encourage active student participation, involvement, and teamwork.
- Implemented a variety of teaching tools to accommodate all learning styles.
- Guiding undergraduate students at AUT on the principles and methods of chemistry.
- Assisting the supervisor in setting up the apparatus, demonstrating the experiment, marking lab scripts, and giving a brief assessment of students’ performance.
- Encourage students to work individually and incorporating the interest in science by giving assignments and research work.
