About us

Do you know that we use different sounds while speaking or reading? The sounds used, are represented by the letters of the alphabet. Associating sounds with the letters of the alphabet is called phonics. It is a method that teaches children to decode words required for reading, comprehension and writing. What is further interesting to know is that there are two phonic approaches. The first one is the Analytical approach. This approach expects children to read the whole word by memorizing it. Eg: The word ?boat? is introduced for the children to memorize the look of it. The second approach is the Synthetic approach that focuses on producing sounds of individual letter or group of letters, which are put together for blending, thereby helping children to read successfully. E.g.; the same word, ?boat? is segmented into individual sounds as ?buh -oa-tuh? for children to successfully read or spell the words,

About us

Phonics Power was founded with a vision to provide a scientific English learning experience to young children ? an experience that will serve as a launch pad for their success in academics. Learning English the right way helps children understand how the language works which in turn allows them to think in English and eventually communicate effortlessly both in social and academic situations. So what is the right way to learn English? Enough has already been said and written about the short comings of rote learning ? which is how most of us learnt the language ? if this is not the right method ? then what is right? Language is to be spoken and not written; and it is meant to be learnt intuitively. How did we all learn our mother tongue? We learnt it by listening to the sounds around us; sounds are then translated into words; words then are strung together to make sentences. Fundamentally it is deciphering the sounds that helped us learn our mother tongue; if this is the intuitive and natural way of language learning, shouldn?t we apply the same principle to teach English to our children?

About us

We are Fun Buzz India, providers of quality preschool education in the Powai and Chandivali area (Raheja Vihar, Nahar Amrit Shakti, Lake Homes, Hiranandani and other surrounding complexes). Started in 2011, FunBuzz has grown from a small hobby to a passion - and that is to provide word-class tools and facilities to help children of today grow into independent and confident adults tomorrow. Our offerings involve courses on phonics, grammar, logical thinking and general knowledge for children between the ages 3 to 8 years. Over 200 students have completed our courses and are excelling at school and in spelling competitions. What makes us different is a unique approach of blending teaching with technology so that the child realizes that learning is not necessarily a boring activity. We are open from Mondays to Saturdays. Do visit our website or give us a call to know more about our classes.
