Her lesson plans were detailed and dealt with my problem areas in the test. I would again thank her for her help because without her I would not have cleared it. "

"I would suggest not to approach her for classes for PTE just by the reviews. Based on the positive reviews, attended her classes which tuned to be the worst experience.I had demo class, on which she started exactly on time and the class was also effective.Based on this I have decided to continue. Initial communication was 30 days and class duration will be 30 min and was asked to pay 6,500 as the fee. I have paid the amount and sent the screenshot. Next day morning she didn't join the class making some excuse and this continued for the other day. Finally, she started class from the 3rd and she joined approximately 10 mins late. She took classes only for 15 days and that too for 15-20 minutes and rest of the time wasted either for searching material or some technical issues from her side or at times she will join late but will end on time abruptly. She will literally scold you if you ask questions or if you have opinions and try to express that and she will not listen at all. No proper material will be provided and she will not teach any tips, will explain what is there in the official preparation guide provided by Pearson. When you ask something seriously, she will give assurance that she will cover in the next class and next day she will not take the class and make health excuse. I haven't seen worst trainer than her. YouTube gives more information than her. I am writing this genuine review so that someone like me will not take the wrong step by seeing the reviews. "

"Describe briefly the data storage and transmission risks in e-business." in   CBSE/Class 11/Commerce/Business Studies, Tuition/Class XI-XII Tuition (PUC)

There are a number of risks to which data is exposed while it is stored or is en-route in a transaction. Vital information may be stolen or modified to pursue individual gains. There can be attacks of VIRUS and hacking. Virus means Vital Information Under Siege. It is a program which replicates itself on the other computer systems. The effect of computer viruses can range from some annoying on-screen display (Level-1 virus), disruption of functioning (Level-2 virus) damage to target data files (Level-3 virus), to complete destruction of the system (Level-4 virus). Anti-virus programmes need to be installed and updated on the system and files and disks should be scanned with them to provide protection from virus attacks. Data may be intercepted in the course of transmission. Cryptography is used for protection against such risks. It refers to the art of protecting information by transforming it (encrypting it) into an unreadable format called 'cyphertext'. Only those who possess a secret key can decipher (or decrypt) the message into 'plaintext' and thus others do not understand your conversation.

"State the merits and demerits of public deposits and retained earnings as methods of business finance." in   CBSE/Class 11/Commerce/Business Studies, Tuition/Class XI-XII Tuition (PUC)

The deposits that are raised by organizations directly from the public are known as public deposits. Rates of interest offered on public deposits are usually higher than that offered on bank deposits. The amount raised from public deposits is generally used by the company for meeting the requirement of working capital. It can take care of both medium and short term financial requirements.

Merits of Public Deposits:

(i) The procedure of obtaining deposits is simple and does not contain restrictive conditions as in case of a loan agreement.

(ii) Cost of public deposits is generally lower than the cost of borrowings from banks and financial institutions.

(iii) Public deposits do not usually create any charge on the assets of the company and hence the assets can be used as security for raising loans from other sources.

(iv) The control of the company is not diluted as the depositors do not have voting rights.

Limitations of Public Deposits:

(i) New companies generally find it difficult to raise fund;; through public deposits due to lack of goodwill.

(ii) It is an unreliable source of finance as the public may not respond when the company needs money.

(iii) Collection of public deposits may prove difficult, particularly when the size of deposits required is large. Retained Earnings The portion of the net earnings which is not distributed amongst the shareholders as dividends and is retained in the business for use in the future is known as retained earnings. It is a source of internal financing and is also termed as accumulated earning.

Merits of Retained Earnings:

(i) Retained earnings is a permanent source of funds available to an organization.

(ii) It does not involve any explicit cost in the form of interest, or floatation cost.

(iii) There is a greater degree of operational freedom and flexibility as the funds are generated internally.

(iv) It enhances the capacity of the business to absorb unexpected losses.

(v) It may lead to increase in the market price of the equity shares of a company.

Limitations of Retained Earnings:

(i) High retention ratio may cause dissatisfaction amongst the shareholders as they would get lower dividends.

(ii) It is an uncertain source of funds as the profits of business keep fluctuating.

(iii) If the opportunity cost associated with these funds is high it may lead to sub-optimal use of the funds.

"Discuss the features of departmental store. How are they different from multiple shops or chain stores?" in   CBSE/Class 11/Commerce/Business Studies, Tuition/Class XI-XII Tuition (PUC)

A departmental store is a large establishment offering a wide variety of products, classified into well-defined departments, aimed at satisfying practically every customer's need under one roof. It has a number of departments, each one confining its activities to one kind of product, e.g., there may be separate departments for toiletries, medicines, furniture, groceries, electronics, clothing and dress material. Thus, they satisfy diverse market segments with a wide variety of goods and services. Some of the important features of a departmental store are as follows:

(i) A modem departmental store may provide all facilities such as restaurant, restrooms, etc. In this way they try to provide maximum service to higher class of customers for whom price is of secondary importance.

(ii) These stores are generally located at a central place in the city, which caters to a large number of customers.

(iii) They are generally formed as a joint stock company managed by a board of directors as the size of these stores is very large.

(iv) A departmental store combines both the functions of retailing as well as warehousing. They purchase directly from manufacturers and operate separate warehouses thereby eliminating undesirable middlemen between the producers and the customers. Chain stores or multiple shops are networks of retail shops that are owned and operated by manufacturers or intermediaries. Under this type of arrangement, a number of shops with similar appearance are established in localities, spread over different parts of the country in contrast to departmental stores which are established at a central place in the city. These different types of shops normally deal in standardized and branded consumer products, which have rapid sales, turnover. These shops are run by the same organisation and have identical merchandising strategies, with identical products and displays.
