Bharathanatyam, the supreme Indian classical dance that skillfully embodies the three primary ingredients of Dance - Rhythm, Rhyme and Expression, fascinated Chippi Pillai at a tender age. With her passion, focus and rigorous training, she is acclaimed as one of the brightest talents in her generation.
Chippi began her training under Smt. B. Chandralekha, Veenadharini Nirtha Vidyalaya at Thiruvananthapuram and did advanced studies under Late. Padmashri Adyar K. Lakshman, Bharatha Choodamani in Kalakshetra Style and Nattuvangam. Currently she is undergoing training with Smt. Nagamani Srinivasa Rao, Bharata Dharshana and Smt. Savitri Vijayakumar, Abhinaya Group in Bangalore.
With her keen ability to understand and imbibe the nuances of this beautiful art form and with her perseverance and dedication, she has presented more than 100 performances till date.
