c) Both. Light shows dual nature. That is, if you set up an apparatus to check if it is particle in nature, you'll observe that it show properties of a particle. e.g. Radiation pressure observed on a metallic surface when it is exposed to a light source. In the process, electrons are emitted as they absorb energy from photons(tiny mass-less particles with energy)(Photoelectric Effect). For electrons to leave their orbitals, they need energy greater than or equal to the binding energy. Each photon acts as a ball with momentum and energy(hv, where h is plank's constant and v is frequency of the light wave) which strikes another stationary ball(in this case an electron) and transfers all of its momentum and energy in the process of collision to the stationary ball and then ceases to exist. If you setup an experiment to see if its wave in nature you'll observe that it acts just like waves.e.g. Young's Double Slit experiment where a fringe pattern is observed on the screen just like a wave should produce one. Since a photon has no mass, therefore kinetic energy is stored in the form of wave energy. If you look further into it, the energy is divided into electric and magnetic waves tightly coupled with each other forming a light wave. Hence the name electromagnetic wave.
