What is the use of semicolon at the end of every statement?

Semicolon is used to terminate statement. It helps the parser to identify the end of statement because C can have any number of lines.

What is the pattern of java certification exam?

It has multiple choice questions. 120 min and 70 questions. No negative marking. But some questions are non scoring and that you can't guess even after your exam. They don't ask you to write program.

What books can be referred for Java certification?

Kathy Sirra is best book available in Market but only book reference wont help much. I would suggest go for coding practice & get lots of hands on. Mala Gupta's book can be referred for Hand on.

What is the exam patter for OCJP certification?

Multiple choice questions, some of them could be non scoring questions. You need to thorough with writing java code without error. it tests your coding skills as well. for better understanding on syllabus refer Oracle.com and book from Kathy Sierra.
