Model Driven interceptors are using Struts framework which is an MVC based web framework. If you are new to Struts framework then it is worth to look at any tutorial to understand it. But in a brief Model driven interceptors provide default model class for a jsp page and that will help you to simplify jsp page. But it will require action class to implement ModelDriven interface and action class should implement method getModel() to return model object.
