The Constitution of India is the supreme law of India. It lays down the framework defining fundamental political principles, establishes the structure, procedures, powers and duties of government institutions and sets out fundamental rights, directive principles and the duties of citizens. It is the longest written constitution of any sovereign country in the world It was framed by Dr. B R Ambedkar. Little is known about the man who penned the constitution in his own impeccable calligraphy. Prem Behari Narain Raizada (Saxena) of Delhi  wrote the entire constitution in a flowing italic style in the best calligraphic tradition of our country. But it was written by Nandalal Bose who has depicted some scenes from our national experience. In doing so he gave us a gallery of some of the greatest figures of our history.
