Generally metal have high melting point than room temperature and so all metal like sodium, potassium,stonsium, magnesium zinc are high melting point.iron cupper nickel silver and gold have also very high melting point.there is exception, Mercury exist in liquid in room temperature.it is possible due to formation of ionic lattice.
Usually non metal have very low melting point so the room temperature exceed the melting point and it is found in liquid state.like O2( dioxygen),N2(Nitrogen),C2(chlorine gas).
