Yes, Reiki is the simplest form of energy healing. No meditation, no chanting of mantras, no altered state of mind, nothing to carry along, your hands are always there with you! � You can do it just anywhere! What can be simpler than this! I have been with Reiki Teaching for 15years now and my learning and experience says that meditation is not a necessary part of Reiki. Also, as far as I know Original USUI Reiki does not say that meditation is required for Reiki to be effective. Universal Energy is available to all in equal measure, the difference is that a Reiki channel is attuned to tap it. The flow of Reiki energy and it's healing efficacy is not dependent on the state of mind of the healer. So, it does not make a difference whether the healer is practicing meditation or not. The above is my observation, learning and opinion so most Reiki practitioners might agree and some might not.�....happy healing to all, whatever state they may be in �. read less

Who are we? In Reiki we are thought there are 7 major bodies, and we are more than physical beings. But then why do I see myself as physical body?
