I started to teach life sciences subjects Chemistry, Biochemistry and Biology to Intermediate, BSc and MSc students for the past 3-4 yrs. I love to make the subjects easy to understand and the same time exciting for the students. Once I create interest in the young minds about these basic sciences I am sure they blossom into great achievers in research and other multidisciplinary areas.
I teach with many captions, pictures and animations making use of whatever facility is available for the students. My skill lies in showing and explaining the right images on the internet and prepare my own diagrams and flow charts to make the students understand the concepts better.I love to teach organic chemistry and biochemistry especially the problem solving skills are my asset. I always make the classroom environment interactive instead of a boring monologue. I often give funny examples and cut jokes so that the class is not stressful and monotonous.
I taught students of various age groups and I feel very basic level of fundamentals should be taught to the school kids.My accomplishment was that I gave basic foundation that the students can rely upon as they progress to higher classes. When it comes to higher age kids in the college I shall understand where they stand in their subject knowledge and I would start from there with proper instruction. I taught many students at masters level in India and abroad and also was a research supervisor to many students for their projects.
