Atoms combine to form molecules. 2 atoms of hydrogen and 1 atom of oxygen combine to form a molecule of water. 2H2 + O2 ------→ 2H2O

Newton's first law of motion is "An object at rest stays at rest, and an object in motion stays in motion unless an external force acts on it."

The second law is "The force (F) on an object is equal to the product of the mass (m) of that object and the acceleration (a) of the object."  F= mXa.

So, the second law is the continuation of the first law. They are independent.

The third law is "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction."

The first law is qualitative, the second law is quantitative, and the third law is dualistic.

The three laws of motion are the foundation of mechanics in Physics.
