Assume that the object (AB) height is h which is same as the image (A'B') height. CD is the mirror. We all know that angle of incidence (i) = angle of reflection (r). As a result, the path traced by the ray forms an isosceles triangle (ADB) with the normal (DE) as angular bisector. We all know that the angular bisector of an isosceles triangle divides the base of the triangle (AB) in half; i.e. AE=h/2. CAED is a rectangle. Since AE=h/2 => CD = h/2. Hence proved, that the mirror height should be half of the object height to see the full image. (Please refer to the attached image).
