I hold a Doctorate in Indian music and am the first female Santoor (an ancient stringed musical instrument) player from the state of J&K to perform on national and international platforms. I obtained my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Delhi. From Pandit Bhajan Sopori, I started to learn the technical aspects of the Santoor. Indian music, especially string instruments from the north of the country, is something I am an expert in. Also, offers guidance on the fundamentals of Vocals and the theory of Indian classical music. I have been playing this instrument for the past 2 decades, and I’ve given performances throughout Nepal, Russia, India, and various parts of Europe, also worked in various Delhi schools as a Santoor instructor. I also had the Honor of being featured on Ted Ex, Belgium parliament, A.I.R., Doordarshan, the IITs, and IIMs I also have shared the stage with various legends such as Ustad Akram Khan, Pt. Bhajan Sopori, and Asad Ali Khan. Currently instructing Santoor online from Singapore.
