How to find a percentage?

For any kind of things if you are try to find percentage think like:- for e.g.: If a person has taken 2 apples out of 10 from a box then what is the percentage of apples left in the box? Then simply, cent means 100 and "per cent" means per 100. So, there are 8 out of 10. So, some 'X' out of 100. So,... ...more

Then simply, cent means 100 and "per cent" means per 100. So, there are 8 out of 10. So, some 'X' out of 100. So, now we will multiply in cross i.e., 100*8=X*10 so x=(100*8)/10=80% or you can also think simply that, cent means 100 and "per cent" means per 100.
