What is flamenco Guitar?

It just has more sustain than the classical guitar.. used for finger-style playing and to increase volume, harder woods, such as rosewood, can be used for the back and sides, with softer woods for the top. It just has more sustain than the classical guitar.. used for finger-style playing and to increase volume, harder woods, such as rosewood, can be used for the back and sides, with softer woods for the top. In contrast to the classical guitar, the flamenco is often equipped with a tap plate (a golpeador), commonly made of plastic, similar to a pick guard, whose function is to protect the body of the guitar from the rhythmic finger taps, or golpes.

classical guitar or acoustic guitar what should a 10y O kid should start with.

A classic nylon string guitar with maple-wood body will be superb. Yamaha C40 will do the job. :)

Are acoustic Guitars cheap when compared with electric Guitars?

Well it mostly depends on what kind of guitar you purchase. Personally I have seen acoustic guitars ranging from 4k to 35k and electric guitars ranging from 12k and beyond. If you are a beginner better buy an acoustic guitar cause I have seen people tend to quit after a few months and if you do that... ...more
Well it mostly depends on what kind of guitar you purchase. Personally I have seen acoustic guitars ranging from 4k to 35k and electric guitars ranging from 12k and beyond. If you are a beginner better buy an acoustic guitar cause I have seen people tend to quit after a few months and if you do that the investment on an electric guitar would go waste as you have to purchase an amplifier and an effect processor (optional) along with it.
