Show that x = 2 and y = 1 satisfy the linear equation 2x 3y = 7.

put the give vlaue of x=2 ,and y=1 in then Lefthandside of the equation (2.2)+(3.1) = 7 =right handside =7 .hence so the given equation is linear equation of degree or power 1 in x &y.. drK S Velmurugan Professor of economics & Q.T, Pondicherry
