If your question is: whether it's useful to learn Python language, Then the answer is Yes! This is infact great time to invest in learning Python. That's because in almost all of the new and upcoming domains, Python is among the choosen language. Be it DevOps, Data Analytics, Machine Learning or Automation. Apart from the new and upcoming domains, Python is also used to do / write all kinds of software tools and applications. Web programming, Business rekated softwares this and many more. This is because Python is general purpose language and not restricted to use only for particular domain. Once you learn Python, you can apply your skills to code for any particular domain. You never have to regret learning Python for sure... So all the beat with learning!

Why still in India lot of people are learning Java and .Net etc. We know that Python is in very demand in now-a-days. Recently I came to know that infosys and wipro was not able to undertake a project because it need to be develop in Python (source economictimes). What may be the good way to have a awareness about Python Language?

The fact with Python is, it is considered mainly as second language. It is extremely simple to learn Python if you know any other language. The fact with Python is, it is considered mainly as second language. It is extremely simple to learn Python if you know any other language. So people mostly start it learning on the job whenever there is some need of simple automation or scripting. What is lacking, as per my experience is, it should be marketed as First language. First language that you should study. It should be added in academics, or students atleast should explore it first before starting their career. There are several Python tutorials available for people coming from Java background or people coming from C/C++ background, but there is not many good tutorials for a completely new-in or with no existing programming knowledge. This situation is however changing now from last couple of years. For instance there is software carpentry project whose goal is to teach Python to people who is completely from different background/domain. Like Scientists, School Teachersnon-IT businesses entrepreneurs, Lawyers etc. So things are changing and will change for sure. Python is sure to come as a defacto language for web in Indian job market too!

Go for Python + web2py its just a breeze to learn the both and does provides a full stack development experience with fun & powerful data base abstraction layer. If you need to build a very simple blog like website go with Python + Flask or bottle which is smaller web frameworks compared to Django... ...more
