I am economics (hons) graduate with an MBA degree. Teaching for me began during my college days for pocket money. I taught economics to the plus 2 students at an ICSE School. And soon i realized that learning is a two way process.

After my MBA, now I have begun a tutorial of my own. I teach students of high school. And in this process now i am well versed with maths, physics, chemistry biology economics and geography.

I separately teach XI and XII standard students geography, civics, economics and statistics. In my class I discuss current issues and its consequences with regards to the chapter I am teaching. Google and daily newspapers is of much help here.

I have seen the happiness and sparkle in my students eye when they actually grasp a topic, be it algebra or be it refraction or reflection properties of light in physics. I have learnt to appreciate small achievements of my students rather than encouraging them to run for marks. I talk about current political and social scenario of our country with my students, discuss career options and push them towards working to pursue their goals of life early, encourage them to read anything other than their text books.
I personally believe that in order to excel in life a child must love and understand his/her subjects. If I manage to make that happen marks will follow.
