Ashish Saxena attended Class 12 Tuition

"Pankaj mode of teaching is quite interactive and unique. He not only explain the concepts in a simplified way but also inculcate interest in the subject. Just to underline that he is not a professional teacher but teaching is his passion. I highly recommend parents to request his mentorship for his child. At last I will add that he is not a teacher but also a very good career counselor. "

P and S have d-orbitals in their valence shell and therefore, can accommodate more than 8. electrons in their respective valence shells. Hence they show covalency more than 4.

A stream of water flowing horizontally with a speed of 15 ms-1 pushes out of a tube of cross sectional area 10-2 m2, and hits at a vertical wall nearby. What is the force exerted on the wall by the impact of water, assuming that it does not rebound?

Speed of the water stream, v = 15 m/s Cross-sectional area of the tube, A = 10–2 m2Volume of water coming out from the pipe per second,V = Av = 15 × 10–2 m3/sDensity of water, ρ = 103 kg/m3Mass of water flowing out through the pipe per second = ρ × V = 150 kg/sThe water... ...more

Speed of the water stream, v = 15 m/s

Cross-sectional area of the tube, A = 10–2 m2
Volume of water coming out from the pipe per second,
V = Av = 15 × 10–2 m3/s
Density of water, ρ = 103 kg/m3
Mass of water flowing out through the pipe per second = ρ × V = 150 kg/s
The water strikes the wall and does not rebound. Therefore, the force exerted by the water on the wall is given by Newton’s second law of motion as:
F = Rate of change of momentum = ?P / ?t
mv / t
= 150 × 15 = 2250 N
