This will be an interactive lecture series about the importance of Dharma in everyday life. The lecture sessions consist of 4 sessions of 60-80 minutes duration and would be held on Sunday Evenings.

The lecture would cover the the definition, significance and the relevance of Dharmic tenets in life & society.

Topics Covered

The lecture series will consist of 4 sessions to be delivered on 4 consecutive Sundays.

1. Session 1: Understanding Dharma.

Some of the topics that will be touched upon in this session are-

a. Definition of the term “Dharma” and its meaning with respect to Universe as a whole and with respect to People.
b. Sources of Dharma
c. Various kinds of Dharma

2. Session 2: Practicing Dharma in everyday life.

The topics covered will include-

a. Importance of Human life & Purusharthas.
b. Elaboration of tenets of Samanya Dharma like Truth, Non-Violence etc. and its application in everyday life.
c. The three types of merits & sins
d. Sva-dharma- the purpose of life.
c. Dharma-Sankata- Life situations where Dharmic obligations clash.

3. Sessions 3: Dharma & Social Issues.

a. The major social & other issues affecting our society like corruption, violence & harassment, pollution etc.
b. The root-cause for most of the problems are rooted in Human weakness.
c. Practice of Dharma as a solution to various social Issues.

4. Session 4: Dharma & Spirituality.

a. The ultimate goal of life is Moksha- Its definition & meaning.
b. The way to achieve Moksha is through Self Realization.
c. The competencies that make one eligible for practicing Moksha Sadhana.
