Why the students are lacking communicative skill?

Because they are not exposed to English language from their early childhood, when they have learnt speaking. Rate of learning is the highest during childhood and later on, grown-up students find themselves struggling to learn English with other priorities setting in. Body language and effective listening,... ...more

Rate of learning is the highest during childhood and later on, grown-up students find themselves struggling to learn English with other priorities setting in. Body language and effective listening, which are also important aspects of communication, get developed only when students find enough exposure for themselves in terms of meeting new people and encountering new experiences in life. Learning is an attitude and our students do have the potential to learn, however need self-focus and guidance.

I want to learn good written and spoken English at home only pls tell me how to start.

For spoken English, we need to concentrate on both speaking and listening. For speaking, we should speak often in English at Home and with Friends, starting with small phrases first. For listening, we can listen to/watch English News, Music and Movies. For written English, making daily writing a habit... ...more
For spoken English, we need to concentrate on both speaking and listening. For speaking, we should speak often in English at Home and with Friends, starting with small phrases first. For listening, we can listen to/watch English News, Music and Movies. For written English, making daily writing a habit is a very good method. For this, a personal diary is the best, where everyday's experiences and reflective thoughts can be written down. Make it a point to read what you have written as it has a joy of its own. And keep improving upon it. Reading English books (starting with short stories) and newspapers is also helpful as it helps us become more comfortable with the language. Last but not the least, it is a good habit to learn at least one new word of English everyday and try to use it in a spoken or written sentence.
