About the Course
Traditional Yoga focuses on maintaining the body in a clam and peaceful state using techniques that link the mind and body in harmony through meditation and relaxation. This is achieved by ridding the body of unnecessary tensions and stiffness and instabilities.
Topics Covered1) Learning to use the core to optimally distribute load so as to free other muscles of tension, stiffness and pain.
2) Increase flexibility to improve range of motion and cure and prevent injuries.
3) Stability postures to train the body to use the vital stabilizing muscles like hip flexors and psoas to keep them engaged and allow the commonly tensed areas like the neck and lower back to be at ease through the day.
4) Mediation and chanting for increased mental awareness and positivity.
5) Partner body work for relaxation.
